The Huyck Family
F.C. Huyck was an early entrepreneur in Rensselaerville. His son, Edmund Niles Huyck, continued the family tradition of philanthropic endeavors in the village. E.N.'s widow, Jessie Van Antwerp Huyck, honored his love of the fields and forests of Rensselaerville by founding the Preserve. More history here. Photo from Huyck Preserve. |
